Have you ever wondered why we celebrate St. Patrick's Day? We celebrate St. Patrick's Day because that is the day that Saint Patrick became the Patron Saint of Ireland. He also died on March 17. Some religions have festivals on St. Patrick's Day. We wear green to celebrate this holiday, but many places do much more. New York and Indiana both dye their rivers green.
