Want a Clean Closet, Here's How To Get One

Organizing Your Closet

Going Through Your Clothes

The first thing you should do is go through all you clothes and decide what you want to keep and what you don't want to keep. Then you have to decide what you are doing with the clothes you are not keeping.

Keeping

How do you know what to keep? If you like the clothes and they fit then you keep it. But, only if you know you are going to wear the item.

Donating

The clothes you don't want but are still in good condition you can give away. You can give them to a younger sibling or neighbor who wears around that size. Or you can donate them to a place like Good Will, or Deseret Industries.

Throwing Out

If the clothes are in wholes or have stains just throw them out.

Categorizing Your Clothes

You need to take all you shirt sleeve shirts and put them together. Then take all you long sleeve shirts together. Continue doing this with you dresses, skirts, pants, and shorts.

Organizing Based on Season

First you need to figure out what clothing apparel goes on what rod/rack. If it is summer but you short sleeve shirts on the bottom rod. If it is winter put your long sleeve shirt there. On the top rod put the clothes for the opposite season. On a middle rack put dresses and skirts so they don't drag. Put pants and short in shelves in you closet or in dresser drawers.

Color Coordinating
Now, think. What color do you wear the most? What color do you wear the least? Put the colors you wear the most in the front of the closet eraser to get to. Put the colors you don't wear very often in the back. Then you should do that will all you hanging clothes. You can do that with the pants and short that are folded by color and shade.
